The Search for Relief
I didn’t want to give up and, like most people, I tried everything—new shoes, custom orthotics, and even daily foot stretches.
I began with physical therapy, which was almost beyond my budget, and the nearest facility was an exhausting hour’s drive away.
Next, I tried painkillers and anti-inflammatory medications, but they upset my stomach after just a few days of use.
I even experimented with special creams and foot sprays, but they offered only temporary relief, if any at all.
Surgery was the last option on my list, but like many others, I simply couldn’t afford the cost or the recovery time it required.
